Alex (Sandy) MacQuarrie is a Critical Care Paramedic, firefighter, and academic with 30+ years of emergency services experience. Now a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, he researches paramedic wellness and the physiological impacts of stress on frontline responders.

Chief Travis Mellema is in charge of Emergency Paramedic Operations and Clinical Community Paramedic Programs at Lanark County Paramedic Service. Dr. Eldis La O Durán is an orthopedic surgeon and traumatology specialist since 1998, with extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery and musculoskeletal tumors. He has participated in over 10,000 orthopedic and trauma procedures and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care through ongoing clinical development and clear doctor–patient communication.

Talat Saeed Chughtai, MD, MSc, FRCSC, FRCPC, is an internationally trained trauma, thoracic, and critical care surgeon and Associate Professor of Surgery at Qatar University. He completed his MD at McGill University, holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Surgery, and undertook advanced fellowships in general surgery, trauma, critical care, and thoracic surgery in Canada. Dr. Chughtai is a Senior Consultant in Thoracic Surgery and Director of the Trauma ICU at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, with prior academic and leadership roles at McGill University and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
